Core Department is comprised of those subjects which a student undergoes learning during first year of his / her undergraduate study of B. Tech programme. The subjects falling in this category are Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Communication Skills. Out of these Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Communication Skills comprise Core Department. The subjects of Electrical Engineering and Mathematics are taught upto 3rd and 4th Semester. The basic objective of the core subjects is to impart firsthand knowledge to the students of various skills that he / she may need in his / her career as engineer.

There is well-qualified and experienced faculty in this department who takes acute care to ensure that a student learns various subjects with enough of concentration and sincerity. The department laboratories of Electrical Engineering and Communication Skills (Language Laboratory) are well-equipped with all required tools and equipments.
